Ectopic thyroid gland presenting in the submandibular gland

The presentation of ectopic thyroid tissue along with a normal thryoid gland in the head and neck is not uncommon. This case report highlights a patient with an ectopic thyroid gland within the submandibular gland in addition to a lack of a normal thyroid gland.

Granular cell odontogenic tumor of the mandibule is a rare benign tumor occurring in the head and neck. This is a case report highlighting the diagnosis, histopathology, and treatment with en bloc resection and free tissue transfer.
