Dr. Lugo is a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor within the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He maintains an active practice in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Head & Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction. His clinical and research focuses are in the areas of head and neck malignant pathology, maxillofacial reconstruction, free tissue transfer, benign pathology, maxillofacial trauma, nerve repair, and dentoalveolar surgery. His clinical practice is located at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California.
Dr. Sampeter Odera is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2008 and the UC San Francisco School of Medicine in 2012. He completed his residency at UCSF in 2014, and a fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia in 2015. The focus of his fellowship training was orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, and arthroscopy. While in Nova Scotia he was trained in surgical planning and techniques developed by Dr.
CLINICAL ACTIVITIES:
I have an active oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in our AAHC-accredited Oral and Facial Surgery Center. My clinical practice focuses primarily on dentoalveolar surgery, including third molar extractions, dental implant surgery, and bone grafting.
